  • About the cottage

    Maggie's Cottage overlooks Dingle bay and harbour. The cottage is located in a peaceful quiet area on the outskirts of the town yet only a mere five minute walk into the town along the harbour.

    It has a traditional style and has all the comforts of home with a large spacious kitchen, living and dining area. Emlagh Cottage is open plan with fantastic views of the bay and harbour.

    The kitchen has all the implements and appliances that you might require during your stay. It boasts all mod cons including a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker & oven, microwave, washer/dryer. For your entertainment needs the cottages has a 32” flat screen T.V. with a variety of channels and radio as well as a DVD player and free WIFI.

    The cottage has an open fire in the lounge for Autumn or Winter evenings and direct access to the private patio and a spacious enclosed garden for al fresco dining on lazy Summer evenings. The cottage has central heating which is run on oil and is metered on usage as is electricity usage.

    The cottage sleeps six persons (max) and there are three bedrooms which are en-suite. There are two bedrooms with a double bed in each room and the third bedroom has two single beds.

    Strictly NO PETS allowed. No parties or any disturbances to neighbours.

    • With Ceann Sibeal Golf Club just 15 minutes drive away from Maggie's Cottage, Dingle Peninsula has become a golf haven to many.
    • All Kerry golf courses are accessible from Dingle.
    • Surfing, Sea Kayaking and Kite Surfing canoeing are all to be found nearby on the Peninsula. If you are an experienced diver then you will enjoy Scuba diving, boat trips and training are offered, with dive sites around Dingle and the Blasket Islands. All levels of training are provided, including try dives, with no experience necessary. Dingle Marina Dive Centre also arranges kayaking, rock climbing and hill walking.
    • Enjoy the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Inch, Ventry, Wine Strand & Clogher all on your door step.
    • Visit the Celtic Museum on the Slea head drive and the Blasket Island Heritage Centre in the village of Dunquin. Boats trips to the Blasket Islands are available daily (weather permitting) from May 1st to October 1st from both Dingle and Dunquin pier.
    • Boat trips from the Dingle pier leave on a daily basis (weather permitting) to visit Fungi Dingle’s famous dolphin and special offers are available for families. Local boats trips daily also available exploring the harbour & bay. Eco tours are available during the Summer months which are a 3 hour trip and explores the harbour, bay, local landscapes on the peninsula and neighbouring islands.
    • Nearby Conor Pass which is a mere 10 minute drive with spectactular views of the mountains, bogs and lakes for you to explore. Enjoy peaceful walks in Cloghane and Brandon at the foot of Mount Brandon. Hillwalking, Cycling, Bird watching and Horse riding are all to be found and enjoyed locally.
    • For the quiet relaxation of fishing & angling, boats leave daily from the Dingle Marina (weather permitting) for 1/2 day and full day trips.
    • Nearby Dingle Skellig Hotel has a Wellness Centre and Spa. They have a hydrotherapy floor & treatment rooms or enjoy the hot tub experience overlooking Dingle bay & harbour.
    • Family discount vouchers available to visit the Dingle Ocean World Aquarium and Crag Caves in Castleisland.
    • WKFITNESS, our local gym located near John Street in Dingle town centre, offers a fantastic spacious gym for the energetic from 7am until 8pm. The choice is endless from spin classes, Xfit, kettlebells, TRX, abs & core, yoga, pilates and personal training (which must be booked in advance).
    • Visit Play at Height, Ireland’s largest Indoor Climbing Wall or soar high on a High Ropes course.
    • To unwind after a hectic day of exploring Dingle and the peninsula, Dingle town has many wonderful restaurants, cafés and all the local pubs frequently feature traditional music nights.
    • Close to all local supermarkets - SuperValu, Spar, Centra, Lidl & Costcutter.
    • Dingle Whiskey distillery is located near Milltown Bridge which offers you a tour of the distillery and how they make their whiskey, gin & vodka. You also get the chance to sample the products.
